Onesie Themed Baby Shower

My friend Renee recently threw a baby shower for her best friend and she had THE cutest idea for the festivities. She went out and bought a bunch of white onesies (they usually come in packs of three or four for about $12 at Babies R Us) as well as a variety of iron letters, fabric crayons, markers and paints. Each guest created a personalized onesie for the new baby, with funny sayings about the parents / baby-to-be, or  cool quotes in general. Soooo cute!

So why not do a Onesie Themed baby shower? Check out these onesie cakes from Pink Cake Box in NJ. What a great idea! Hello Little One has a Onesies Galore invitation that would definitely set the theme as well. Matching mint tins would be perfect favors for guests to finish the day in fashion.

Celebrity Allison Sweeney Uses Hello Little One "Sweet Chicks" Baby Shower Design!

The Biggest Loser host and Days of our Lives star, Allison Sweeney, used our Hello Little One design, "Sweet Chicks" for her bird themed baby shower. I'm addicted to The Biggest Loser, and watched Allison's pregnancy unfold over last season. I always admired her for being so sweet, calm and professional during her trimesters. Pregnancy Magazine's February issue has a great article about the details of Ali's baby shower and features her personalized invitations.  Megan Hope Sanov -- who weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz. -- was born 12 minutes to midnight on Monday, January 12th. Congratulations Allison and Dave, as well as big brother Ben!

Throwing a Spring Baby Shower

Throwing a party can be stressful, expensive and time-consuming, especially if it's for a friend or family member's big life event: like a baby shower! Make it easier on yourself (and way more fun) by adapting a theme that starts with the invitations and ends with the favors. Your guests will love the way you have tied everything together. Need an idea? How about some Spring chicks. Little chicks are cute and reference the birth you are celebrating. Hello Little One has an invitation called "Sweet Chicks" that have a mother and chick sitting on a branch... it's whimsical and modern at the same time. For a dessert, try mini chick shaped cakes or cupcakes with chicks frosted on them. Do a google search for an illutration that you like and bringing it in to your local baker. For favors, I found these adorable salt and pepper shakers at beau-coup.com that round out your theme. The mom-to-be will be pleased that her host thought of everything from start to finish!
