Holiday Card Trends 2007 Posted by Jenny, December 4th, 2007
This holiday season, I've seen a sharp increase in modern and funky card sales, much to my pleasure!
The traditional Christmas red and greens and Hanukkah gold and blues are still going strong, but people are taking more chances on chocolate brown and rich red, lime green and pink. What's nice about these colors is that they translate well to modern and hip layouts, as well as classic, nature inspired designs. Check out one of our top-sellers: the Festive Forest. The palette of colors is trendy, but with a nature-inspired, classy look to it. Happy Holidays to all!
Wall Decals Galore Posted by Jenny, November 9th, 2007
I have people asking me all the time for good ideas to create a modern space... either in their kid's room or nursery, playroom or even home office. A sure fire way to add a modern touch is through wall graphics, and my favorite place for these is blik. They sell bold, modern graphics that come in cool, hip colors. The best thing about them is that they are self-adhesive and removable, so they can be changed up as you (or your child's) tastes change. I know mine do on a monthly basis :)
Modern Design is Everywhere! Posted by Jenny, October 15th, 2007
Take a look at all the new and exciting baby products around: do you notice something? Modern, bright designs are taking our kids by storm, and I love it! Clean lines, fun patterns, and zesty colors are everywhere. When I started Hello Little One, modern design for kids was still very niche, found only after some time spent searching on Google. Although I still shop at and love these wonderful boutiques, it's also nice to see great design popping up at our major department stores. Just recently, I saw a crib in a magazine that I really liked. It looked just like a super modern version I had seen at a nursery furniture boutique for around $1200. To my surprise, the crib in the photo is actually sold at Walmart. They have a new line of products called "BabyMod." I can't vouch for the quality or craftsmanship as I have not seen the line in person, but I did think it was pretty cool that good old Walmart is making the effort to bring modern design to the masses at an affordable price.
